The contest is a great way to connect with your community and encourage youth to express their vision of peace.   Children aged 11–13 are eligible to participate. Stuff the Truck for Texas -  The Chester Lions Club is collaborating with R&R Construction to collect relief items for victims of Hurricane Harvey. This flyer lists the items most critically needed. If other Lions Clubs can help us "stuff the truck" they can either bring the items to Chester or the Chester Lions will pick them up. The collection dates are from September 18th thru October 9th.  By the way, our Club is in contact with Lions in TX and, in addition to the relief items, the CLC has pledged $40,000 to help pay for medical equipment that is needed there.

Another way of helping:

Council Chair, Jack Romano wants to thank Stan for being pro-active in the Chester Lions Club Stuff-the-Truck event.  I have been in contact with Council Chair Richard Talbert, MD-2 Texas.  Their most pressing need is cash. They have already received a $100,000 emergency grant from LCIF.  They are asking all Lions to donate through LCIF as this will be the clearing house for monetary disaster relief.  In addition all funds donated for hurricane relief are eligible for a Melvin Jones Fellowship. By all means please continue with your efforts to assist with material goods. Donations to LCIF are an alternative that all Lions should be aware of for any cash contributions.
Yours in Service,   Lion Jack Romano,  Council Chair, Multiple District 16, New Jersey 2017-2018
